We are seeking funds through various crowdsourcing platforms so that we can procure locations, materials, props and craft services.

 

 

Our vision for the film:

LIGEIA is a film in the gothic horror genre. It is a somewhat unique creation, the sort of film that scores high praise and accolades on the festival circuit, likely to several awards, before a normal distribution business model is applied to it after it has gained more attention. Imagine a blend of the oldest classic horror, "Nosferatu" and "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari", with the modern visual flare of "The Cell" and "Snow White and the Huntsman".

 

LIGEIA will draw appreciation from those who enjoy horror, thrillers, romance, mysteries and "indie", arthouse projects, who can build it through word of mouth for a life beyond the festivals. It is a film that will be talked about by movie buffs, casual filmgoers and all who encounter it.

 

An exceptionally talented team anchors the production, with years of film and television experience in the US and abroad. LIGEIA is their first foray into crowdsourced, grassroots filmaking, bringing their vision and expertise to meet with the passion and artistry of the excellent up-and-coming cast to create the best, most genuine, most honest art which they shall bring to the screen.
